Over the winter we have been busy carrying out some management work to some of the ditches and hedges at Oldfield Farm.
In order to clean out the ditches some of the hedges needed cutting back quite along way, and in some cases where they had been left for a few years, cleared back entirely from one side of the ditch.
The work has taken some time, but the results are already showing results with a number of field drains being found during the ditch cleaning operation and some others appearing in the weeks following.
